What happens during a consultation?
Your consultation is our opportunity to gather information about your past and present state of wellbeing. During your visit two practitioners will be present in the room, your herbalist and a student herbalist who will act as an observer. Your practitioner will work closely with an experienced faculty supervisor to craft your personalized botanical, nutritional, and lifestyle recommendations. We will work as a team to ensure you receive quality services and botanical expertise.
Please allot 90-120 minutes for your first visit, and 45-60 minutes for subsequent visits (follow-ups).
What will I need to bring?
New clients, please bring your filled-out New Client Questionnaire, which will be given to you by your practitioner. For each visit, also bring a list of current medications and supplements you are taking, and copies of any recent lab reports.
How much will my visit cost?
An initial consult with a clinical herbalist is $40. Follow-up consultations are $25. Payment is due at the time of your visit. Hawthorn Wellness accepts cash, personal checks, and major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Please note that the cost of an herbal consultation does not include herbs. You may choose to buy herbs separately at the end of the consultation from our on-site herbal apothecary.

We are offering herbal consultations on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4pm – 8pm. Consultations are by appointment only.

We understand that life is unpredictable -- if you need to cancel your visit, please contact us no later than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Please note, if your cancellation is made within 24 hours of the appointment, you will be charged the full payment.
