I am an herbalist and multi-dimensional dot-connector

Hi, I'm Pearl.   I am an herbalist and multi-dimensional dot-connector. My passion is to help people like you map out the areas of your life where you can take action to effect positive change.

My passion is a direct result of my journey; I’d like to share some parts of my story with you.

I struggled with alcoholism, depression, and anxiety most of my life.

While I managed to get by in school and at work, I would struggle through nearly every moment. As a testament to my grim outlook, the title of my undergraduate thesis was “Hopelessness and Futility: In Defense of Philosophical Pessimism.” It’s funny I chose this thesis topic now, but at the time I was not joking.

I battled cancer for years in my twenties.

I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer at age 22. I underwent multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation. And then I was well. Or was I?  When I finally got a clean bill of health at age 25, it seemed as though my problems were only beginning. My body felt wrecked from treatments and I was in a lot of pain. I began seeking alternative, holistic ways to restore my quality of life.

My inner critic was deafening.

Growing up, and well into adulthood, I lacked confidence and felt crippled by my self-limiting beliefs.  Despite my pessimistic rhetoric, I still had a deep desire to make a difference in this world. I loved plants, I loved people, and I wanted to be of service. I was ready to create powerful, positive change.

I had to develop an entirely new set of tools for self-care.

I’m happy to say that I’ve been cancer (and alcohol) free for years, now.  As a human, I may always dance with anxiety and negative self-talk, but it is no longer crippling. I began to find healthier coping mechanisms to deal with hardship and the challenges of everyday life.

I tried everything.  Some of it even worked.

On this journey, I have gained a lot of knowledge. I’ve tested numerous herbs, diets, theories, and tried nearly every self-care and personal development practice I could find!

I continue to work hard every day to cultivate resiliency and to connect with my passion and purpose. My promise to you, as I continue to grow and evolve, is to share with you only the remedies I trust and the strategies that work.

Hugs,
